Acrylics

Almost all the acrylic paintings are, or have sections layered with acrylic skins (I called them "film").  This are "are created just by brushing paint on a non-stick palette or baker's parchment and letting it dry. You can use this plastic, flexible paint in a number of ways to create mosaics, mixed media collage, stained glass-like effects, etc.;"  These layers of paint and mediums can also have  within, additional materials, like mica or metal flakes, glass beads, cracking medium, etc.  These skins are later attached to the painting surface or, if  large enough, can become the actual surface of the painting.
